What Data We Store
Shion stores only the minimum data required for its functionality:
- Invite tracking — guild ID, user ID, inviter ID, invite code, and join timestamp when a member joins a server. Used to show invite statistics.
- Server blacklist — server IDs and reasons for servers blocked from using the bot.
- Guild prefixes — custom command prefixes per server (currently unused).
What We Log
When commands are used, the following information is sent to private Discord log channels for debugging and moderation:
- User ID, avatar URL, and server name
- Channel name and command invoked
- Command arguments
- Timestamp
We do not store message content. Command logs are sent to Discord channels only and are not persisted in any database.
What We Do NOT Collect
- Message content
- Personal identification information
- Email addresses
- Payment information
- IP addresses
Data Retention
Invite tracking data persists while the bot remains in your server. When Shion is removed, all associated data is automatically purged within 30 days. Command logs are kept in Discord channels and deleted after 30 days. The blacklist database is retained indefinitely for operational purposes.
Third-Party Services
Shion does not send data to any third-party services. All data processing happens on our own infrastructure. The only external communication is with the Discord API, which is required for the bot to function.
Your Rights
You may request a full export or deletion of your data at any time by contacting the development team on Discord.
